HEAVY CONSTRUCTION DOZER SIMULATOR TRAINING
Track Type Tractor/Dozer Training Exercises
Track Type Tractor/Dozer training covers the following topics:
Machine Walkaround. Learn pre-operation machine inspection procedures to ensure proper operating and safety conditions.
Controls Familiarization. Learn and understand operator controls and proper sequences for machine operations including start-up and shutdown procedures.
Steering & Maneuvering – Wide. Learn proper techniques to safely maneuver machine around job site.
Steering & Maneuvering – Narrow. Learn proper techniques to safely maneuver machine around a maintenance yard, including backup procedures for parking machine. Avoid unnecessary ground disturbance utilizing three-point turns and counter rotation.
Blade Steering. Learn proper techniques to utilize machine’s blade steering capabilities in order to increase undercarriage life and reduce wear-and-tear on steering components.
Level & Straight Dozing. Learn to use machine blade to push material straight over a large area safely and efficiently.
Slot Dozing. Learn slot dozing technique for efficient operations.
Ripping. Learn to plan ripping patterns based on grain of material. Learn proper techniques to safely and efficiently perform ripping operations.
Backfilling. Learn to safely and efficiently backfill a trench.
Dozing Over a Highwall. Learn proper techniques for pushing material
over a highwall. Learn to maintain a proper slope in the dumping area
to ensure site stability. Learn to maintain proper safety berms along the
highwall edge in accordance with MSHA requirements.
Open Training. Allows instructor to expand functionality of simulator to
customize training for each user according to individual needs.

Advanced Dozer (Track Type Tractor) Training Exercises
Advanced Dozer (Track Type Tractor) training covers the following topics:
Machine Walkaround. Learn pre-operation machine inspection procedures to ensure proper operating and safety conditions.
Controls Familiarization. Learn and understand operator controls and proper sequences for machine operations including start-up and shut-down procedures.
Site Clearance. Learn how to clear trees, stumps and boulders from abuilding site. The terrain is laden with rocks/boulders and various size trees that the Dozer operator must remove using the correct procedures.
Pad Building. Learn how to build a commercial pad (i.e. for a warehouse). The operator will set the parameters for grade, and build the pad. Includes knocking down the center berm between the slots using the proper crisscross method to remove the berm and pushing it to the far side for more fill dirt.
Slope/Ramp Building. Learn how to a build highway on/off ramp. The ramp is partially shaped, but needs large amounts of dirt pushed and shaped out.
Road Construction. Learn how to rough in the road, including the crown, using a loaded Grade Control profile, while keeping trucks busy dumping dirt.
Drainage Ditch Building. Teaches the Dozer operator to rough in ditches to better shape the ditch for proper runoff drainage. The operator will cut out the high spots, fill some low spots, etc. to meet a pre-loaded Grade Control profile.
Some exercises include integrated Grade Control. Each exercise
has the option for Open Training. Expand and customize training for
individual needs.

VR ACCESSORY
The VR headset enables the user to see more of the environment and machines. The user gains greater depth perception, making exercises such as loading the truck, clearing debris, and pipe installation more accurate when judging distance from the bucket to the target. Better operators mean less chance of a mishap and more chance of achieving production goals.
