OUR COMPANY

Next Gen Equipment Training ® is the FIRST private equipment training company to utilize CAT® Simulator Systems – we now also have a CM Labs Vortex® simulator. We created our company in recognition of the tremendous need for construction companies to recruit and retain heavy equipment operators. Our simulators allow us to train on 6 different Heavy Equipment vehicles. Due to popular demand from contractors, we have recently added hands-on drone training, plus classroom training on reading civil plans along with excavation and grading. Our professional trainers have a wealth of industry knowledge, real work experience and training/instructional experience.

Terri Olson

Owner, Next Gen Equipment Training

Terri has over 25 years in the software and hardware technical training business and over 14 years in the heavy civil contracting business as an Owner and Business Coach for her teams. She launched Next Gen in 2019 with the goal of providing a safe, consistent, cost-effective and cutting-edge training program for heavy equipment operators. Her passion is building great teams, great operators and training the next generation of heavy equipment operators through private and public partnerships and workforce development programs. Her motto is “let’s show the world a better way to train our workforce, for now and in the future.”

Our Instructors

Next Gen works with heavy equipment instructors to bring real time operational scenarios and experience levels to the simulator training experience. We combine field experience with instructor experience for a variety of heavy equipment machines. Each operator training session includes a personalized skills assessment for each machine and type of operation. The classroom instructors deliver drone and civil plan reading courses as well.
